One of seven commonly recognized dog breed groups. When groups were originally formed, the first two groups were separated by ‘Sporting’ and ‘Non-Sporting’ types of dogs. From there, further groups branched out to include groups such as terriers, hounds, toy, working, and herding groups. The breeds that remained in the Non-Sporting group vary in size, color, and function. Learn more about your specific breed of Non-Sporting Group dog below!
